Let’s keep Cheney Field Green as Summerhill grows.
Cheney Field runs from Georgia Avenue to Little Street in Summerhill, Atlanta. Its southern half holds the 1996 Olympic warmup track, which we love and want to keep. Its northern half is open ground where neighbors play and gather, and where rain soaks into the earth instead of pouring into the sewers beneath it. The City’s own engineers once picked that ground for a flood-fighting pond. Neighbors asked for a park here as early as 1947, and in 2015 they worked with Park Pride on a plan to create one. We believe the north field should become that park, not the site of a 175,000-square-foot building.

About Us
Keep Cheney Green is a group of Summerhill neighbors working to keep the north half of Cheney Field open and green, and to see it become the park neighbors have asked for since 1947.
